We are thrilled to announce that Tereo School is moving to a brand-new, purpose-built home at 151 Main Road, Strand. This is a landmark moment in our 10-year journey — a move that will allow us to serve more children, deliver a richer learning experience, and build a truly world-class environment for holistic education in the Helderberg Basin.

Why We Are Moving

Our current premises have served us well, but Tereo has outgrown them. With 121 learners enrolled and a waiting list of families desperate for a safe, nurturing school, we have reached the limit of what our existing space can offer. The new premises at 151 Main Road give us the room — and the infrastructure — to do so much more.

What the New Premises Will Offer

The Impact

This move will allow Tereo to reach more children, provide holistic care, and enhance overall learning outcomes. Every child who walks through the doors of our new school gains access to education, safety, nutritious meals, counselling, and the kind of stable, caring environment that breaks the cycle of poverty — for them, and for their families.

How You Can Help

Moving to new premises brings with it increased operational and logistical costs. We need the support of our community — businesses, donors, and friends of Tereo — to make this transition a success. There are several ways to partner with us:

Watch this space — we will be sharing updates, photos of the new building, and progress reports as the move unfolds. Thank you to every single person who has believed in Tereo and made this next chapter possible.
